Paul Martin
Paul Martin is a Program Manager with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, where he is in charge of Technical Standards Development. Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers Ireland (CIBSE) and ex-Chairperson of CIBSE Ireland.
Paul is Chair of the Building Service committee in NSAI with responsibility for the development of Standard Recommendation (S.R.) 50-1 Building Services — Code of Practice — Part 1: Water based heating systems in dwellings. Paul was also a part of the review committee for S.R. 54:2014 Code of practice for the energy efficient retrofit of dwellings.
Paul’s previous position was a Building Services Engineer with responsibilities for a wide variety of new-build, conservation and landscape projects for the National Building Agency and was lead Building Service Engineer on the award winning development of the Moyderwell district heating scheme in Kerry which was designed in accordance with the SEAI’s ‘House of Tomorrow’ standards and won the 2009 Energy Conservation Award at the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards amongst other awards
